Bordallo Pinheiro Hunting Pheasant Mug
Description
There is something deeply considered about a mug that tells a story. Bordallo Pinheiro’s Hunting Pheasant Mug is hand-painted in the atelier’s signature earthenware style — each detail rendered with the kind of care that makes an everyday object feel like an heirloom.
The pheasant, mid-strut across the glaze, belongs to Bordallo’s Hunting collection — a series that draws on the pastoral traditions of the Portuguese countryside. At 104mm tall and generously wide, it holds a proper cup of tea or a long morning coffee with ease.
Made in Portugal. A mug that earns a permanent place on the shelf — and in the hand.

Bordallo Pinheiro
The cabbage, fleshy and wrinkled, flattened in shape, could serve as a metaphor for the rusticity of Portugal, a country Bordallo satirized so often. It was a clever way of paying homage to it, placing it at the center of bourgeois tables, where, otherwise, it would not have been invited. And today, our cabbage is an essential element on any table and in any setting, admired by young and old alike, blooming in various colors: Green, White, and Pink!
