A departure from the iconic cabbage, yet unmistakably Bordallo. The Strawberry Oval Bowl demonstrates the full breadth of the Portuguese maison’s hand-finished craft — each piece sculpted and glazed at the original Caldas da Rainha factory, where the tradition has been unbroken since 1884.
At 24cm, the oval form is generous enough for fruit, salads, or a summer sharing bowl, while the vivid strawberry motif brings a considered burst of colour to the table — a piece that earns its place as much for its artistry as its utility.

The cabbage, fleshy and wrinkled, flattened in shape, could serve as a metaphor for the rusticity of Portugal, a country Bordallo satirized so often. It was a clever way of paying homage to it, placing it at the center of bourgeois tables, where, otherwise, it would not have been invited. And today, our cabbage is an essential element on any table and in any setting, admired by young and old alike, blooming in various colors: Green, White, and Pink!
