      Bordallo Salad Bowl 32cm

A salad bowl that makes the salad feel like an occasion.

The Bordallo Pinheiro Cabbage Salad Bowl at 32cm is a generous, sculptural centrepiece for the table — the iconic cabbage leaf form, rendered in classic green earthenware with the artisan precision that has defined Bordallo Pinheiro since 1884. At this size, it holds a salad for a full table, a pile of summer fruit, or a generous serve of pasta with equal grace.

Handcrafted in Portugal, it pairs naturally with the broader Cabbage collection — dinner plates, side plates, platters, and serving pieces — for a table that feels both collected and alive. Or let it stand alone as the centrepiece it is.

      Bordallo Pinheiro

The cabbage, fleshy and wrinkled, flattened in shape, could serve as a metaphor for the rusticity of Portugal, a country Bordallo satirized so often. It was a clever way of paying homage to it, placing it at the center of bourgeois tables, where, otherwise, it would not have been invited. And today, our cabbage is an essential element on any table and in any setting, admired by young and old alike, blooming in various colors: Green, White, and Pink!
